I have a concrete experience to offer of an HIB Visa recipient from our shop (a Research Inst.) who went through the arduous process of getting a green card via Department of Labor certification as having competed for a job we promoted him to when no other American was found to have adequate skills for the job we posted. I am happy to say this outstandingly talented and dedicated worker is now a permanent resident who may well become a citizen in due course after the wait that is involved. Hope he'll get a home sometime too! Not an easy or expedited process--took quite a few years, lawyers (at his expense) and our standing solidly behind him. A success though. Should certainly be easier. Tom G
